New Delhi [India], September 15: Narendra Modi just parked ₹40,000 crore worth of development into Bihar. and dropped Purnea straight onto India’s aviation map. Opposition leaders may choke, but the runway is already open.

    A Mega ₹40,000-Crore Package

Prime Minister Narendra Modi rolled into Purnea and unwrapped projects worth a cool ₹40,000 crore. Rail, airports, electricity, irrigation, the works. For Seemanchal, it’s not a facelift, it’s a reset.

Over 40,000 families got the keys to permanent housing under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. For them, Diwali and Chhath came early. “Until every poor citizen gets a permanent house, PM Modi won’t stop,” he said, hammering his point like a builder with a deadline.

    Engineers’ Day Gift: Purnea Airport

On Engineers’ Day, PM Modi saluted Sir M. Visvesvaraya, then flexed with results. A brand-new terminal at Purnea Airport, built in under five months, is open. First flight: flagged off. Status: operational.

“Purnea has now been placed on the country’s aviation map,” PM Modi declared. Direct connectivity from Seemanchal to India’s metros is no longer a dream; it’s a reality now.

Railways: Not Just Promises, But Tracks

High-speed corridors, new lines, and shiny trains. One Vande Bharat, two Amrit Bharat, and a passenger train were flagged off. The Araria-Galgalia line is live, while the Vikramshila-Kataria line is greenlit.

Add in the Mokama–Munger section of the Buxar–Bhagalpur corridor, plus doubling of Bhagalpur-Dumka-Rampurhat. Translation: Bihar is not on the platform anymore, it’s on the fast track.

    Powering Up: Bhagalpur Thermal Plant

Energy matters. Bihar just got a 2400 MW thermal power project at Pirpainti. No electricity, no growth, PM Modi’s play is clear: self-reliant Bihar, powered up and switched on.

    Water, Irrigation, and Flood Control

The Kosi-Mechi river link project’s first phase is now underway. Expanded canals mean lakhs of hectares irrigated and flood damage checked. For farmers, that’s not policy fluff, it’s survival.

    The National Makhana Board Arrives

“Makhana isn’t just a snack; it’s Bihar’s pride.” PM Modi reminded the crowd of his promise and backed it up. The National Makhana Board was officially notified yesterday.

With ₹475 crore earmarked, the Board will push better pricing, tech adoption, and global positioning for Bihar’s farmers. For too long, makhana was ignored. Now it’s front and centre.

    Taking Shots at the Opposition

PM Modi didn’t miss his chance to roast rivals. Bihar, he said, was looted and mocked by earlier regimes. Opposition leaders compared the state to a bidi. His reply: “Bihar now exports rail engines to Africa. Digest that.”

He accused opposition parties of treating Bihar as a cash cow, of scams, corruption, defamation, while ignoring actual development. His punchline: “For them, family first. For me, 140 crore Indians first.”

    Infiltration? PM Modi’s Guarantee: Removal

The PM went hard on infiltration in Seemanchal and East India. “It is the law of India that will prevail, not the whims of infiltrators.” His words weren’t diplomatic. They were a warning shot.

He accused the opposition of shielding infiltrators for votes, while assuring locals: sealing infiltration isn’t just policy, it’s his guarantee.

    Women as Gamechangers

Bihar’s women got a big nod. PM Modi credited them for keeping the opposition out of power for two decades. Once victims of extortion and violence, now they’re “Lakhpati Didis” and “Drone Didis.”

A ₹500 crore Community Investment Fund is flowing into self-help groups. Women’s federations at the village level will get muscle and money to drive transformation.

    Festival Season Sweetener: GST Cuts

Mark the date: September 22. Navratri starts, and so does cheaper GST on essentials. From toothpaste to ghee, soaps to stationery, prices will drop.

“Festivals should ease your kitchen, not burn it,” PM Modi told women in the crowd. Clothes, shoes, food, the festive basket just got lighter on the wallet.

National Pride: From Freedom Struggle to Operation Sindoor

PM Modi tied it back to Purnea’s legacy. Sons of this soil fought the British. Today, through Operation Sindoor, they’re showing India’s strength again. Development and security both have Bihar stamped all over them.

    Bihar at the Centre!

Whether it’s rail exports, new bridges, irrigation projects, or aviation hubs, Bihar is no longer the “left-out” state. It’s back in the middle of India’s growth story.
